| Like the flying winemakers who develop their skills and know-how by working in the vineyards in both hemispheres, we became itinerant to apply a similar approach which would allow us to grow within our own professions in the wine marketing and sales fields. As true wine lovers and enthusiastic globe-trotters, we conceived, planned and undertook a true wine odyssey which we branded wineworldtour. This epic journey enabled us to travel, from January to December 2005, through 17 different countries. |
| Throughout Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, South-Africa, Thailand, Bali, Cambodia, Laos, China, Vietnam, the USA, Mexico, New Zealand, Australia and India, we met the owners and managers of almost 200 wineries. They opened up their world and shared their captivating stories, providing us with a window onto the fascinating side of their jobs. All over the planet, we made it our mission to try and understand the wine business as a whole, to experience wine tourism and to take on board the proven techniques applied in the new world.
